Well, first of all I would recommend to update the HostAgent, because there are known bugs with older version.
Otherwise I know this phenomenon.
The solution was to restart my frontend pc and to login again... not very handy.
But first of all please update the HostAgent.

you have to upgrade the hostagent , in the system and also if the issue does not get resolve , then you have to extract the SUM tool and start it from beginning.

Hi Guys,
I updated the SAP HOST AGENT 7.21 to SP 17.
Then i restarted the SUM. ,But when i proceed clicking on the activities that appear in Extraction Phase I still see the window.
So i had a look at sapstartsrv.log..and i found the below. i mean the upgrade is running, but i want to get rid of the annoying window.

Hi Sebastian,
You need to follow the below steps to resolve your issue.
- Stop the SUM process and as nothing yet been performed by the system
- Delete the existing SUM directory.
- Downlaod the SUM SP17 patch 6
- Extract the SUM
- Register it with SAPhostagent
- Start the SUM in browser.
There will be some problem with the your SUM version and i have faced this issue earlier which didn't get resolved by updating the saphostagent.
Earlier also i have mentioned the process.

While performing the EHP8 upgrade, i have encountered errors with PREP_EXTENSION/ADDON_QCALC.
When i checked the log SPDA_ADDONQCALC.LOG, it complains the following:

When i checked the "SAP_FIN" is already installed and it is on sp10.
I can also find this component in the xml file with the correct SP LEVEL

Calculation is done for the target release. So I would be interested to know target release for SAP_FIN. These can be checked by files which Andreas requested. Did you already check if this add-on is compatible with your target release?

Could you download latest ACP package ODTFINCC==600 and extract it in ../EPS/in/ directory.
If you have any older version of this ACP in the ../EPS/in, then remove it and then upload the latest version.
Once done, repeat the module.

I assume this is a bug in SUM, but this is only an assumption.
The component is not delivered by the EXPORT DVD, so the target vector cannot be calculated by only having the ACP file in the stackfile.
Please try below proposal:
Download SAPK-600AGINODTFINCC and all six support packages (according to your attach files you are on SP6) including the ACP (It is version '09' and has the EPS filename "CSR0120031469 0098430 PAT"), put it into the download directory and repeat the whole module by choosing the INIT option.
If this proposal is not helpful then please open an incident on component BC-UPG-TLS-TLA. In this case we have to double-check some internal control tables.

The issue is resolved.
As we saw from the log, it complains about the below.
For installing ""SAPK-600AGINODTFINCC" --- 2 prerequisites are there ...atleast 1 of them should satisfy
1st one is " Invalid software component "SAP_FIN" Release "*" is installed
2nd one is - "Prerequisite add-on component "SAP_FIN" Release "617" is not installed
.
.
So I found out that ODTFINCC600.SAR in my /EPS/in is corrupted!
Lucky i have the backup of the software and copied this file. I have to start the process from IS_SELECT, it went through

you should try to calculate a new stack.xml file, if not already done. The note 1326576 - SAP NetWeaver Systems Containing SAP ERP Software Components explains, that you should declare your system as an SAP ERP system, what you have already done.
There was a bug in maintenance planner, which calculated the EHP8 DVD for this scenario, instead of the correct Netweaver DVD. This bug was fixed today, kindly check the stack creation in MP again.
You can verify the calculated DVD, if you download the PDF at the end of stack calculation - this PDF contains the DVD needed for this upgrade.

Yes we already checked that note and taken actions to correct errors in ACT_UPG. And now we are facing this issue in next phase (RSPTBFIL). Also we didn't see any DDL sources in the current phase which were corrected in ACT_UPG. So not sure how to proceed further here.
